The worldwide outbreak of WannaCry ransomware is the latest reminder that the era of cyber insecurity is here.

"We have moved beyond the threat of college students hacking from dorm room in a foreign country to the real world of organized cyber criminals and state-sponsored hackers," said Dan Harpool, president and CEO of Complete Computing, and our speaker for August. "There are four billion people on the Internet and the best hackers can get into your systems if you don’t use layers of security."

Harpool says he will provide an update on the most common cyber security threats and how to avoid becoming a victim, and an overview of trends in the digital world.

Make your reservation now for the August 25 meeting at Heifer Village.

Harpool is the President and CEO of Complete Computing Inc., a network solutions and services provider based in Little Rock that has been in business for over 35 years.

Dan has served on numerous boards and is a popular public speaker on technology, strategic planning and leadership. For the past 10 years, he has been the host of The Complete Computing Show heard on KARN 102.9 FM.
